Summary: Kate hasn't heard of House's rep yet and goes to him for a paternity test. Probably not a smart idea.
Kate was panicking. She was pregnant. And if that wasn't enough for her to handle, she had realized that morning that she didnt have a goddamn clue who the baby's father was. For some reason she had just assumed Jack, maybe because she'd had sex with him first... but she'd had sex with Sawyer days later... it could just as easily be either of theirs.
Kate needed a paternity test. She hadn't told either of them she was pregnant yet, was still panicking about it. She knew she was going to start to show soon though, and she needed to know who the father was before she could tell them. She had stolen jack's comb, and a cup of Sawyer's that she'd seen him drink from and had stowed them in her purse as DNA samples and now she walked quickly towards the medical practice of some guy called House. She hoped neither of them would ever get word of this.
She walked in and talked to the secretary before being led into a room to wait for the doctor. She sat nervously but her back straight, her head up, trying to be confident.
