Severus Snape looked over things one last time. Harry should be home at any minute and he wanted to make sure he had everything just right. He hadn't the slightest clue that he had missed Harry's birthday until he had read the brat's journal entry about it. Snape felt marginally better that Harry had forgotten too, which wasn't surprising considering the rollar coaster of the last week. Tonight was going to be absolutely angst free, even if it killed him.
Merlin knew they both needed it.
Mint chocolate chip ice cream. Check.
Chocolate cake. Check.
Presents. Check.
Snape couldn't help but smirk as he looked at the flat, rectangular box sitting wrapped on the counter. It was a game for Potter's XBox thing. Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup. He wasn't sure what Harry's reaction would be, but he looked forward to it regardless. He had also bought him an forest green silk shirt and an obscure potions book that he thought Harry might enjoy, considering his interest in potions.
Now the brat just needed to get home!
