Tosh was home, having only recently returned from getting Ianto to the clinic. She'd been worried about him, of course, but the doctors had assured her there was nothing else she could do, so she'd left him in their care and headed towards home.

Even though her building was in good shape, there had still been quite a few things knocked off shelves and walls. She was sweeping up the shards of a broken glass in the kitchen when she heard the pounding on her door, and quickly made her way over, glancing out the peephole.

Owen

Tosh was more than a little conflicted over what to do. Was he still under Death's influence? He didn't seem to have the same gleam in his eyes as earlier, when he'd overpowered Tosh and left, but she was still unsure.

Keeping the chain latched, Tosh opened the door partway, so she could at least see him.

"Owen?" she asked, standing enough back that he couldn't grab at her or hit her.

She kept him at a distance. But she was alive; that mattered most, allowing Owen to breathe a sigh out of relief.

He opened and closed his mouth and looked around them for the words. "You alright?" Coming from him it sounded rather pathetic, as battered and dusty as he was. Petty words for a situation that was anything but.

He couldn't ask her to unlock the door for him, nor did he expect her to after all that he'd done.

She nodded, relieved that his voice had lost that other-worldy tinge it had held before.

"I'm fine," she replied, looking at him again, closely, needing to be sure.

"Are you-?" Tosh trailed off, not really sure how to phrase her question. "Are you still being possessed by Death" didn't really seem the most tactful way to put things.

"It's me." His response came quickly and he laid a hand to press gently against the door, a silent, humble request to be allowed inside. "You don't have to -- I mean I'l understand if you...well, you know." He drew in his lower lip, waiting.
