Bill looked a mess, with his suit covered in dust and his tie askew - but that was nothing compared with the condition of the two ladies he was supporting.

"I think something's really wrong," she whispered to Bill.

Which was just as well, really, as they both ended up on the floor, Bill cursing. Gods, he hoped he hadn't injured her any further.
He shot Moira a glare. "You are both going to see a doctor," he said in the sternest tone he could muster.
Margaret saw the woman fall out of the corner of her eye, and ran over. "Oh my." She knelt down by the woman. "Somehow, I don't think it's just a concussion, am I right?"
Bill looked up at the woman in blue scrubs, who was looking over Laura with great care. "She said her abdomen was hurting," he told her. He motioned with a free hand to Moira. "And this one has broken ribs, she says."

"I can taste blood in my mouth. But I'm not bleeding out of my mouth. I'm not, am I Bill?" she asked.

Margaret, on the other hand, frowned at this. "Could be internal bleeding," she said. "Something the doctors need to handle." She thought for a moment. "But I can at least do an x-ray to see what's going on in there. Okay?" She looked at Laura. "I'm going to get a gurney for you, but I'll be right back." This last part was directed at Bill. "And whatever you do, don't move her."
Margaret stood up, and dashed back into the other room.
Bill watched the woman go. "You're going to be all right now, Laura," he whispered. Just as much for his benefit, as it was for hers.

"So. Earth," she smirked. "Do you remember that earthquake in Caprica City? I was probably...10. That's the last earthquake I've been in."

It was at that moment when the woman reappeared, wheeling what looked like some kind of trolley. "Told you I wouldn't be too long," Margaret said. She looked at Bill. "Give me a hand to lift her up on there. Carefully, mind," she added.
Bill nodded, and positioned himself near Laura's head, still holding on to her hand. Margaret took a hold of Laura's legs as gently as she could.
"When I count to three," she told him, "I want you to lift her." She paused, while Bill slipped his arms around Laura's upper body. "Ready?" Bill nodded. "Okay. One, two, three..."

"Oh my Gods, mother frakker son of a bitch..." She panted harshly as her good hand flew to her stomach where the pain was.

The girl was trying as hard as she could just to stay concious, she didn't utter a word.

Margaret made sure the woman was secure on the gurney. "Alright," she told them. "I'm going to take her in to get her x-rayed now. You," here she gestured at Bill, "stay outside." She paused, before looking at Laura. "Unless you want him to come in with you?"
She noticed Moira standing just a way off, swaying unsteadily. She didn't like the look of that, either. "And you're coming in as well," she said to the girl. "If your ribs really are broken..." She moved over to where Moira was. "It's only a short distance to the x-ray," she said gently. "Can you manage?"
Reply
Moira was trying really hard not to cry. She could not get herself to the x-ray on her own.
"I think I probably need some help," she whispered, blinking away tears of pain, anger and frustration.

She turned to Bill. "I guess I do need you, after all," she said. "Just go through that door, and wait for me. And remember - be careful, okay?"
Bill nodded, and started pushing Laura's gurney in the direction the woman had indicated, his hand still gripping hers.
Once she had been sure that the man was going the right way, Margaret turned her attention back to Moira. "Our turn now," she said. "And let's take this slowly, alright?"
Reply
"Right, slowly," she said leaning on Margaret.

She gestured to him. "X-ray's over here," she called out. Bill slowly made his way towards where Margaret was.
She looked at Moira. "Since they might be a while," she said, leading her towards the x-ray machine, "how about we get you done first?"
