Robert Chase squinted up at the house in front of him. 221 Baker Street. This must be the place.

The house had been easier to find than he'd expected. He'd arrived in town, asked around to a few people, and here he was. Who knew Gregory House would actually have sociallized enough that Chase would be able to find him simply by asking people.

Damn, he hoped this worked. He'd come all the way from Princeton merely on the possibility that House could have a job for him. After House fired him at PPTH, life had gone on. He had his new job in ICU, he had Cameron; he was happy. But then... God knows what happened.

First he and Cameron had started to fray at the edges. It wasn't really a shock to either of them when they decided friendship would be the better way to go.

Then there was his job. His new job just... lacked... something. There was no thrill in going to work every morning like their had been when he worked for House. He missed the thrill, the mystery, the puzzle. And for whatever fucked up, twisted reason, he missed House.

He had nothing left in Princeton to stay for, so he packed up and left for Canada. And now here he was, outside House's door. He stepped up to it and knocked.

Draco's hand paused on the lock. More guests? Had House invited the entire town? he shrugged it wasn't his house. He pulled the door open and blinked.

Blond.

Pretty.

"Umm...hi?"

Chase furrowed his brow at the sight that met him. That was not House.

But... it wasn't a bad sight either.

"Hi..." he answered, wondering if it was just his imagination or if the other blond was actually giving him the once over. Then he wondered if he minded. He shook his head. He was here for a reason. "Is Dr. House here?"

Draco blinked. "He's a doctor?" he asked incredulously. "They gave him the responsibility of taking out for the lives of other people? They're mad," He declared, tossing his head back. "But yes he's here, and so is half the town. I think we're having a celebration for Wilson's return. I don't know. I was drafted." He shrugged, stepping back to give the stranger room to enter.

He ignored Sev's amused smirk. His godfather really was perverted sometimes. Then again this was the most he had said to a stranger since he got here. Had to be a sign.

Chase snorted at the other man's comment about House. He also noted the accent. Some sort of British. He stepped into the house and held out a hand. "I'm Dr. Robert Chase."

Then he froze and dropped his hand. "Wait. Wilson's... return? James Wilson?"

Draco returned the handshake. "Another doctor?" he asked in amusement. Was the entire town going to be overrun by them.

"If Wilson and James Wilson are the same person, than yes he's here. Angie's daddy." Draco quirked a brow in interest.

Maybe later, much later, Chase would think about the jolt he felt when the other hand gripped his. But right now, he was far too overloaded on shock for that. "That's impossible. James Wilson died six months ago."

Even back in the world where he was born, this would be impossible.

"Impossible or not, it's true," Draco drawled, pushing the door closed. He brushed past him. "Well whoever you're looking for will be in the dining room, and standing here in the entry way won't help you too much." Draco gave him a half smile as he followed Sev into the dining room, and barely contained chaos there.

"Right..." Chase shook his head. What in God's name was going on here? He followed the blond and the man who had been with him, assuming they were leading to the dining room. "I didn't catch your name, by the way."

"Oh forgive me, where are my manners? Draco Malfoy, a pleasure." He inclined his head. "And this is Severus Snape, my godfather."

Malfoy? Draco Malfoy? Blimey, Chase could not handle any more shockers today. Maybe it's just a coincidence. Stay calm.

He turned away and scanned the room for House and... apparently, for Wilson?

Severus had watched their interaction curiously and with some amusement. At the introduction, he inclined his head toward Chase, but said nothing. He was missing something about the man, but he didn't know what.

Just another enigma in this blasted town.

Thirteen caught sight of the little gathering by the door and sprinted over to them, wringing her hands. "Oh god. Don't tell me there are more people? I just got the table all nice and neat, I'll have to do it again ..."

"More?" Draco asked in confusion. "We were part of the original group." he craned his head over her shoulder, "And the table looks fine."

"It's NOT FINE NOW, there are MORE PEOPLE." She gestured at Chase and Dexter. "There are MORE PEOPLE and oh god I can't deal with this - oh god, what if someone touches my dishes?" She ran off toward the kitchen again.
