Tim revisited the park like the scene of a crime, gliding into the same tree he'd teased little Rosie from and hopping down from the branch--far less enthusiastically-than he had the first time. He retraced his steps, intent on remembering every moment and everything he'd done wrong.
'I meant to prove that I was ready to start training someone else.' He mused, a shiver crawling down his spine in the very spot he'd remember his father's brutal beating. 'Some hero I was.'
Nevertheless, a tiny smile touched the edges of Tim's mouth as he remembered Rosie; holding her and telling her mommy would be okay. All in all, it wouldn't be the first baby he'd spent a day keeping safe--there was always Kristov--the baby that could have caused an international incident if Batman hadn't risked literally everything to keep him safe. '
'And all those kids...' Tim shook his head. 'Still doesn't change the fact that I was as effective as a spray bottle full of water against Catwoman...'
He needed to talk to Hermione about the Dementors, come up with a defense if they ever showed up again. There was no way he was letting the older woman risk herself like that again...not when she had Rosie to take care of.
'So stop moping and get back to work, Hero!' Taking a deep breath, Red Robin left behind the place where his pride had been murdered and made his way further around the perimeter of the park, jumping from branch as through making his way across a massive set of parallel bars.
