It was a sparkling, beautiful Saturday, with just enough breeze to keep the day from being sweltering. As soon as lunch was over, Teddy was at the door, tugging his shoes on and begging to be taken to the park. So, back they went, and almost immediately upon arrival Ted had taken off, joining into an already-in-progress game of tag with some of the neighborhood children.
Hermione kept one eye on him, and one eye on Rose, who was contentedly staring up at the swaying branches of the tree over their park bench. Then she closed her eyes for a moment, just enjoying the peaceful beauty of the afternoon-- and wondering if she dared to pull out her book.
