Hermione was grateful for the hospital staff. She still wanted to take her baby and go home, and take care of her all by herself-- she'd never been one to do anything halfway-- but she wasn't prepared for how exhausted she would be after giving birth. She'd dozed off mid-sentence at least twice, on Friday night and again on Saturday morning, much to Harry's amusement. And by the end of the day, she was ready to sleep, which wasn't going to be entirely possible when they eventually did get home. But during the afternoons, she was wide awake, and eager to spend time with her newborn daughter.
