The Pastry and the Pumpkin

Oct 17, 2010 22:00

Who: Sherlock, Alba, Count D.
What: A report and a visit.
When: Afternoon.
Where: The bakery and the petshop.
Rating: S for sweets.
Status: Closed, incomplete.

True to her promise, Alba had been asking around about the town, and Sherlock had sat back as quietly as he could to allow her natural guilelessness draw out all the most informative replies. When she'd texted that she was ready to share what she'd found, Sherlock suggested that they meet at the bakeshop--the one, in fact, recommended by Count D.

Now, he stood outside, his hands tucked into his hand-warming pockets. The window display behind him was filled with patisserie, all autumnal icing and harvest-themed shapes. An elaborately carved pumpkin graced the back corner of the arrangement, casting its beneficent glow on the confectionary.
