Juliet - fresh from trying to figure out how one got a job in this place, is making her way back to her hotel room, to try posting something else to that journal system. People seemed to respond and were helpful enough, so she figures she can ask about a job that way.

Then, she hears a very familiar person cussing, and she turns around quickly. Sure enough, he's right there on a bench, and she makes her way to him without thinking twice. "James?"

"Blondie, that you?" Sawyer couldn't believe his own eyes and ears at the moment. He quickly stood up and made his way towards her. "What on Earth is goin' on? Was sleeping and now I'm here? Which, is exactly where? Sure as hell don't look like any damn island." Unless of course they traveled into the future and now there was some city built upon the island. You never really could know with the island, who would've thought that the island would make you time travel.

Juliet is just so damn glad to see him that she has to stop for a minute and think about how to answer his question.

"We're in Canada, James. It's 2010, and we're in Canada. I was at the motor pool and suddenly there was a flash, like we were going through time again, and when I opened my eyes, I was here. I've been here about a week."

He just looked at her for a moment with a sort of shocked expression planted on his face. When he finally spoke, he sounded a bit unsure. "You're telling me there was another one of those damn flashes and we ended up in the future and in Canada? Makes no sense," he shook his head. "Can't believe I missed one of those flashes, must've really been knocked out."

Things just kept on getting more and more crazy. What did Canada have to do with the island? It just made no sense what so ever. "Started to like life in the seventies."

"James, I have no idea how to explain it, but...apparently there are people in this town from all over time. I met someone from 2359 yesterday."

When he says he was liking life in the seventies, she can't help but hope, at least a little bit, that it has something to do with her.

"I'm living in a hotel, which...speaking of that. Someone else I met told me to go to the bank and just see if I had an account with money in it. I didn't. Before I left for the island, I'd transferred everything into my sister's name. But then...I gave your name. James, you're loaded. But I only took enough for food, clothes, and the hotel room."

"The island's sending people from all different times to Canada?" Ok, Sawyer was beyond confused at this point. "Anyone else here that we know?" He glanced around.

"Yea," Sawyer had to hold off a bit of his anger, "bout that money..." Ok, she didn't know, she didn't know that it was meant for his daughter. What else was Juliet suppose to do? "Really only took out enough for those things?" If that was all she took out, assuming that wasn't a whole lot, then Clementine would still have more than enough.

"Not the island. No one I've talked to even knows about the island and I haven't seen anyone we know..."

She trails off though, watching his face carefully. "It wasn't more than a hundred dollars, everything's pretty cheap here, considering most people just appear with nothing." She's talking slowly because the look on his face is telling her she did something wrong.

"I'll pay you back, I think I might be able to find a job as a mechanic at an airfield soon."

"Well now, ain't that something." So the island had nothing to do with this? "So somehow, people from all sorts of places and times are being pulled to Canada? Is that what you're saying? But, none of the others were ever on the island and probably not connected to us in anyway?" Sawyer sighed, "when did life become one big messed up dream?"

"No, no, it's ok. What else could you do? Besides, why are you stayin' here? We're in Canada, can't we take the next flight or train out?"

"That's what I'm saying, James," she says with a soft sigh of her own. "I know it's crazy, I'm not even going to pretend to try and understand it." At his next question, she pauses, her eyes intent on is.

"The only way I could get to Miami from here would be to take a good chunk of your money. That and...if I show up there and I've been declared dead, they'll take away everything that got willed to Rachel. All of the life insurance and 401k money. I can't just show up." She looks down a little.

"And I thought that if I stayed here...maybe you'd show up."

"Well then, I'll be damned and I thought the island was the craziest it would get," he just shook his head. "Crazy the things you don't know bout out in the world, and to think of all the people that will never know." Part of Sawyer wished that he could still be one of those people, but then he would have never met Juliet and would probably still be the same old con man.

"Still could leave this place, don't see what's so great here." He looked around a bit. "Could just visit her in secret or somethin'." Sawyer ignored the part about the money.

"Really now," he blinked and stepped closer to her. "Guess it's good you stayed."

"I can't," she insists again. "We're going to disappear again. Go back to the island from the moment we left. I just...I can't go see my sister and then disappear on her again," Juliet says softly.

When he steps into her personal space, her breath catches, and she looks up at him. "You have my back. I figured you wouldn't be that far away once I got here," she says with a soft smile, bringing a hand up to rest against his chest.

"Don't know that. Wouldn't be nice to least tell her you're ok?"

He looked her in the eyes, "that I do," he smiled. "Still got my back?" Of course he already knew the answer to that question, but it was always fun to ask. He placed his hand over hers and gives it a light squeeze.

Maybe she'll send Rachel a letter, just to let her know. But James is right, she has to do something.

"Always," Juliet says in response to his question, then sighs softly, closing her eyes and letting her forehead rest against his chest. "I'm so glad you're here, James."

Sawyer wrapped his arms around her and held her close. "Always good to know. Glad I'm here as well, folks over in Dhramaville must being goin' crazy right now. Reckon they'll think we got captured or something." Sawyer couldn't help but smile a bit at that. At the same time though, he felt bad for leaving Miles and Jin behind.

"Glad I’m here as well and with you. Wouldn’t want you all alone here."

"Did you think I was gone?" she asks, looking up at him. "Because I've been here for a week." Her arms have found their way around his neck, and she brushes over the nape of his neck with her thumb.

"A week? But, I just saw you the other day, before I went in for work," he looked at her a bit puzzled. "Suppose we came from different times then? Might sound strange, but just when exactly are you from?" Sawyer knew they were both from the same time frame in general, but had to be off at least a week or so. Hopefully, it was just something simple like that and not a year.
