Leaving Lulu a note saying she'd be gone, Moira followed the sparks till she got to Harry's front step. The girl had brought a bag full of her first spell books (she had forgotten why she ended up packing them with her) and other fun magickal things she could play with Teddy as well as some of the cookies she and Lulu had made earlier in attempt to 'bond' as Lulu put it. Moira called it 'finding out what exactly the witch had been up to while the blonde girl was in, out, and about' but to each their own.

She gave Harry a small smile. "'Lo there."

Harry managed to scrounge up a faint smile in greeting as he stood off the step. Dusting off the back of his pants, Harry sighed. "He should be asleep for now. If he wakes up, tell him the truth." Harry knew that would be the best thing under these circumstances. Lying to Teddy now would be devastating to both of them. He didn't even want to think about the conversation he'd need to have when he got back in. "I'm out for a walk, he'll either go back to sleep or ask for juice. If something goes wrong call Snape. His numbers taped to my phone."

Moira nodded, glad she'd brought her computer and a bit of light reading, too. "Alright. Don't be too rash, yeah?" She almost offered him a cookie, but wasn't sure if Harry was quite in a cookie sort of mood.

"Me? Rash?" Harry shook his head, squeezing her arm gently. He wasn't allowed to do rash things any longer. Once a night was enough.

But Moira didn't need to hear that from him. She was doing him a favor, a bigger one than he was sure she knew, because he had no idea when he'd be ready to go back home. A part of him wanted to Apparate out, go anywhere, off the continent, or just out of the country. He wanted space and everywhere in the town were crowded walls.

The problem was he couldn't leave Teddy like that. As much as he craved space, he needed Teddy possibly more than Teddy needed him. It was a daunting thought.

Moira smiled sadly at Harry. She really didn't want to pry. "Cookie?" she asked despite her previous thoughts. Harry definitely was in need of one. Moira didn't know how long Harry would be gone, but she sensed that it wasn't a five-minute walk. Her witch-senses were screaming that at her, but she really didn't mind. Harry obviously needed this and Teddy was adorable. Moira didn't mind spending time with him.

"Please?" Harry pretended that plea didn't sound half as pathetic as he knew it did. He had to get out of there.

Moira smiled and took out her cookies and offered them to Harry.

Harry took the cookie with a sheepish smile and kissed her cheek. So much like Hermione it was uncanny. How did girls always know what to do in these situations? There had to be something there about them that just let them knew.

Or he was still as painfully apparent as ever. "Thanks for this."

Moira's heart almost broke at the emotion Harry was oozing. She gave him a quick hug. "You're welcome."

Moira was ridiculously sympathetic. Despite her gangly, tall frame and kind of klutzy nature, Moira had a different kind of grace. The grace of knowing what to do and say in a situation was from her mum. And possibly the fact that she could sense emotions rather acutely.

"I owe you, Moira. One ride on the Ferris Wheel and probably more." Harry unfolded a linen napkin from his pocket and set the cookie in it, before stowing it away. It'd give him something to do with his hands later. He sensed he'd need something along those lines once he finally gave up running.

He needed to leave before he found he couldn't.

"Ha. Okay, Harry. Decide how to repay me later. Go clear your head now."

The girl gave Harry a look saying that she'd be fine with Teddy and he could go do what he needed to.
