Haley's dreams weren't memorable. They were about nothing, not existing, in an eerie, unreal way. She'd dreamed about being a mother for years, so it wasn't too unusual that there was a little boy in her dreams this time. But he seemed more significant, somehow.
Odd, but not as odd as waking to the sound of...she wasn't sure. The instant her eyes opened it was gone. Groggily, she glanced over at the digital clock, glowing 12:01 in bright green letters. She hadn't even been asleep for that long.
Oh well.
With a yawn, Haley shifted a little closer to Aaron and closed her eyes again, to dreams she wasn't going to remember. She was back asleep in minutes.
