Richie was still thrilled to be back in Aternaville, and had gotten his old apartment back. Old habits died hard, however, so he was dressed up with brilliantined hair, holding a bouquet of flowers on Lulu's front step. He knocked gently.

Lulu went over to the door and opened it. There were few people left that it could be. When she saw that it was Richie, she couldn't help but grin with the tiniest hint of pink on her cheeks. It could have been because she was running around but probably was for an entirely different reason. And he had flowers!

"Richie! Hi! Merry Christmas, come in!"

"Hi, Lulu! Merry Christmas!" He handed her the bouquet as he came into the house. "These are for you." He stopped to look at her for a minute. "You look beautiful tonight."

She took the flowers, looking at them as Richie looked at her. "Thank you. You really didn't need to. But thanks." When he told her she looked beautiful, Lulu shook her head slightly and turned away, leading Richie further into the house, toward the kitchen so that she could get a vase for the flowers. "Thanks."

"You're welcome. Well, I wanted to." Richie looked around the house, impressed by the decorations. "You sure know how to throw a party, Lulu! I've sure missed them. I couldn't tell anyone at home I'd been to a ball or anything like that. They wouldn't believe me."

"They didn't do balls back home?" she asked, smiling. They didn't do too many of them back in Port Charles. Every now and then, Nikolas or someone would throw one, but it wasn't an everyday occurrence.

Richie laughed. "Have you ever been to Milwaukee? I don't know how it is now, but I never went to a dance that wasn't in the high school gym."

She shook her head. "Not been to Milwaukee, no. Most of the school dances back home were in the gym, too. Unless they were in the ballroom at the hotel. My cousin is part-owner of the MetroCourt hotel back home."

"Oh, that sounds nice!" Richie said. "I think maybe the hotel owners wouldn't trust us kids. We're all kind of suspected of being hoods by some people."

She couldn't help but laugh at that. "Really? Honestly? That's hysterical." Lulu couldn't imagine Richie, or any of the people he'd described as friends as being "hoods" in the slightest. Especially with the mob sort of life that was inherent back in Port Charles. After putting the flowers in a vase, Lulu saw that Bod was answering the door. That wouldn't do! She was loathe to interrupt Moira being happy so she'd go play the happy host. "Could you excuse me for a sec? Got to see to my guests. I'll be back soon. Promise." Lulu gave Richie an apologetic smile before popping off to the door.

Richie chuckled. "Yeah, I guess it is pretty ridiculous. But adults seem to think any guy with a DA haircut is up to no good." Fonzie was probably more of a hood than anyone, and even he was really nice.

"Oh, sure. Of course." Richie stepped back and let Lulu host. Boy, she looked beautiful tonight.
