Who: Castiel and Baron Byron Balaz What: A meeting. When: Night, after the body-swap, October 13th Where: Wandering the park Rating: FL, Flirting and LOLZ Status: Incomplete
Castiel stared at the decide for a moment but he thought little of it. Although he had never seen Dean with one as far as he was aware this was a typical possession for a human or those who live a humanesque life. He turned from it to follow the Baron. He watched him place his hand on the door with great interest. Of course, Castiel had so need of lock-breakers, but he was curious at how the Baron was going to win them entry.
True to his word he did not turn to fog and flow under the closed door. Castiel was surprised at the little light. It was not as pure as his own but it was a most uncommon sight. It was more than a light. It was a blade. He stared at the doorknob and the Baron's hand. Castiel heard the locks turn, he was now using a power that Castiel himself possessed. He kept on staring.
He caught the Baron's moment of weakness but he did not interfere, merely stayed close in case he was needed. He wandered a little way into the house. It was massive, it's giant entrance reaching up three floors. It was dark so Castiel opened out his hand and generated a soft glow. It bounced off the walls, the mirrors and paintings left by the previous owners. The white staircases snakes around each side of the room, rising in matching spirals. A few carefully trained vines wrapped themselves around the wooden balustrade. The dark red walls seemed to recede into the background.
Castiel turned back to the Baron. "It is larger than we require," he said flatly.
Recovering, Byron steadied his feet underneath him, his eyes following the little light that Castiel summoned. Byron could see perfectly in the dark, and what he saw was rather remarkable. There was a grandeur to the place that more than matched the outside--the two huge spiral staircases stood out in their paleness. Dusty carpet covered hard wood floor that was once so highly polished it still had some of his gleam.
It was, in a word, perfect.
"As an angel and a vampire, yes, it is rather large for the two of us." Byron admitted, stepping in and investigating the vaulted ante chamber they'd stepped into closer. It didn't seem as if the previous owners had taken anything with them--there were even vases of dried flowers set on high decorative end tables. "But as humans, it is more than satisfactory." Byron peeked into an adjoining room, which proved to be a large parlor with two mirrored walls. It would double as a wonderful dance studio if there was somewhere else to put the furniture. "The bedrooms must be up stairs."
"We are not humans," Castiel said pragmatically. Castiel was not interested in the bedrooms, he had no use of one. He had little intention of sleeping, he didn't even know how to. He stood in the middle foyer and watched the Baron leave to investigate his new home.
"I will wait here," he said, moving to study a particularity violent painting depicting a nineteenth century battlefield.
