"What? Ted why're you u--" Harry spun around on the computer chair, prepared to pick Teddy up so he could see what was happening when he caught the look on his face and the actual words that had been snapped out from his mouth.

"Bugger."

"What have you done and where is the boy? I would like my body back immediately."

His voice wasn't nearly as commanding coming from the mouth of a seven year old.

Maybe not as commanding, but crystal clear nevertheless. Harry winced torn between sympathy and gut cramping fear.

"Yeah? Well, you're not the only one. This has been happening all over town. Here." Harry stood and gestured toward the chair awkwardly. For all that this was definitely Snape, it was also most definitely Teddy's body and it was a bit disconcerting to see Teddy's nose morphing and his hair going jet black and long. "See?"

Snape turned in his chair to look at Harry. "Potter, if I am here, where is the boy? I suggest we go to my flat. Now. Before he destroys it or hurts my body."

"I'm more worried about him being scared," Harry muttered, grabbing Snape/Teddy by the shoulder and lifting him, ignoring the protests because it was a damn sight easier and faster to go through the wards of this house with Teddy/Snape, whoever, as close as he could be.

Apparating could have gone smoother had Harry been able to breathe properly. Snape had a point. Teddy could have done anything in the time since they'd swapped and Harry had no idea how long that had been.

Shivering, Harry set Snape-in-Teddy's-body down on the floor of Snape's kitchen and gripped his wand anxiously.

"Teddy!"

Snape scowled at being carried about like a sack of potatoes. He was perfectly capable of walking, thank you very much. Still scowling, he straightened his clothing as best he could. "Who is Batman?" he asked, looking down at his pajama shirt.

"Harry?" a deep voice cried shakily, and Snape's face peered around the corner. "Harry!" Half second later, Harry was having to contend with a full sized Snape/Teddy trying to be held.

"Superhero, you know. Comic book--Teddy?" Harry stepped around around Snape and stalled, facing something odd and more than a little bit alarming. Even then, he held out his arms, preparing to be tackled over and he wasn't disappointed. He clutched at Snape's larger shoulders, alarmed and unnerved.

"It's all right, Teddy. It's all right." Except it really wasn't. Not even a little bit. He stroked Snape's hair and fought down the wave of unrelenting oddness.

Snape wasn't sure what to think. He and Potter indulged in sexual matters on a regular basis. The fact that he was harboring jealousy about what he was witnessing was absurd.

He felt the insane urge to scream and cry.

"I will not," he ground out through clenched teeth.

Harry frowned, tucking Snape's body under his chin, which was hard and uncomfortable for them both but Teddy was shaking, violently, teeth-rattlingly violent and then Snape was being pissy about who the hell knew what.

"You won't what?"

"Cry. I can feel the tears building and I seem to be unable to stop them," Snape answered irritably, quickly wiping away one that had leaked out. "This is ridiculous."

He looked at himself, wrapped up in Harry's arm. "Maybe we should put him to sleep until we figure this out. When he wakes up, it will all just be an awful dream."

Harry considered it, rubbing Snape's back, hearing the odd, hiccuping sobs buried against his chest. It wasn't right. And it was even less right how badly Harry wanted to turn and pull Snape against his side when he caught sight of him rubbing his eyes again.

Brilliant. Fucking brilliant.

"Teddy? Mate, come on, you're safe now," he murmured into Snape's ear as he pulled Teddy off of him and it physically hurt to see Snape's face scrunched in misery.

Not to mention bloody weird.

"I want to go home now," Teddy whined, wiping his nose on Snape's sleeve.

Snape walked over to Harry and stretched on tip toe to talk softly near his ear. "Potter, he's going to be in pain that is almost constant. Please, let him sleep until this passes. Don't make him suffer and be in fear when he doesn't have to be."

Rubbing a hand over his face, Harry nodded, baffled by the ethics of what he was about to do and wondering what Snape meant by constant pain. It didn't bear consideration. Taking off his glasses in a tired gesture, he kissed Teddy/Snape's forehead and brought his wand to Snape's temple whispering a spell and stumbling when Snape's body pitched forward in deep sleep.

"If this backfires I won't forgive you," Harry wheezed, slowly lowering Snape's body to the floor.

"Don't leave me on the floor!" Snape protested, knowing he wasn't big enough to do anything about it. "And he'll be fine. In time, it will just be a bad dream he had."

He went to chair and sat, his mind whirling. "Any idea what's happened and how widespread it is?"

"Whole town as far as I can figure it." Harry glared at Snape and tried not to feel guilty about it even as he levitated the prone body off the floor. "Everyone's sort of...swapped with another, in pairs. I suppose we ought to be grateful for that."

"Grateful? Grateful? Are you insane? Look at me, Potter! I'm stuck in the body of a child. What, pray tell, is there to be grateful about?"

Not only that, he sounded like a child throwing a tantrum.

"This is unbearable," he muttered, irritated that his stride was so bloody short. How could one properly pace when one's legs were so short?

Snape walked to his body that was levitating in the air, trying to look at himself with an outside perspective. In the end, he couldn't see a single attribute that would make Potter want to do the things they'd done to one another.
