The director was infuriated with his cast. It seemed that overnight they had all forgotten their lines, forgotten how to act, or just plain forgotten how to be themselves, let alone their parts. After he contented himself with yelling at Castiel who was now acting entirely too much, there wasn't much else he could've done. "Just...do your best. You were excellent last show, what happened?!"
His bet was on the play going down in flames.
