Laura was sitting at the head of the conference table a few minutes before seven, glasses perched on her nose and pen in hand as she took some final notes on school budgeting. Folders were placed in front of the 11 empty spots surrounding her that were filled with information and statistics.
It had been since she was President that she had actually conducted a meeting and as much as she hated to admit it (and would not to Bill), she'd missed being in an authoritative position. She loved being a mother, but she loved politics, too. It was in her blood now. Sighing as the thought crossed her mind, she continued writing as she waited on the rest of the staff.
