Lily had done enough avoiding for this and last lifetime. She didn't want to do anymore, and she wanted this to be done.
Sirius' words rung in her ears still. She was furious and upset. Violently angry and completely disappointed that her friend could think of her that way. She thought after being here for a while that Sirius didn't just think of her as his best friend's wife. But a friend of his own.
He proved how very wrong she was.
Closing her eyes and sticking her wand in the pocket of her pants, Lily poked her head out of her door, opening her eyes to see Sirius sitting by himself staring at the balcony.
"Can we talk without you disappearing?" she asked, exiting her room fully, and leaning against her now shut door.
