"My turn." Quietly agreed, but he wasn't making any move to let them trade spaces yet. He just kept his forehead pressed against Sirius' dark, silky hair, and breathed in his smell. He loved this boy-- man-- he had to keep reminding himself that here, this Sirius. His Sirius. Was now a man. And he curled his fingers some with a little smile, brushing them over Padfoot's lips. "I'll feel better in the morning." Promised in the same quiet tone. "Some sleep. A few bandages. And I'll be as good as new."

Lily woke up, trying not to fret too much about the full moon. Yawning, the redhead walked into the bathroom without a second thought, right over to the sink. And then she realized that her friends were also in the bathroom. "Oh, hello," she said, suppressing a yawn.

Sirius had just begun to relax, sinking into the familiar and comforting feel of Remus's arms around him and their skin against each other's. And then suddenly, the door swung open. Blasted hell, of course we forgot to shut and lock it!

That was Sirius's first thought, before he quite connected that Lily was in the bathroom, and that he and Remus were naked in the tub together. "Merlin, Lily, do you not know how to knock? I mean honestly, if you wanted to see me undressed this badly, you could have just asked instead of subjecting Moony to your perversion too!"

Upon noticing Lily in the bathroom, Remus' cheeks had turned pink-- darkening the red areas around the two large scratches across his face even more-- but he smiled tiredly anyway. "If you wanted to subject yourself to torture, you could have just asked, he would have gotten naked for you." Slowly, blue eyes closed again. The werewolf was so tired. "Sirius has some.. injuries." The potion, clearly, hadn't worked. And Padfoot had taken some of Moony's frustrations.

Lily rolled her eyes. "I just woke up." Rubbing her eyes with her hand, she kept her gaze on her friend's faces. So much simpler. "It didn't work then? How are you?"

"Absolutely bloody peachy," Sirius bit out. This wasn't exactly his prime idea of conversation time. But then... she was just concerned and all, he supposed. And if he wasn't nice Moony would probably glare at him, and he wanted snuggling and kissing from Moony right now, not glaring. "No. It... it didn't work. It was bad, Lils."

He squeezed Moony's hand as he said it. The boy was blaming himself something dreadful, Sirius knew it. And hated it.

When Sirius squeezed his had, Remus drew in a breath through his nose and opened his eyes again. He had actually fallen asleep for a brief moment there, and the sudden change in pressure to his hand had woken him. "Do you still keep bandages around?" If Lupin-- the older Lupin-- had once lived here.. surely he kept bandages around, and ointment, in case something like this ever happened.

Frowning, Lily nodded, kneeling down and digging around in the cabinet for the bandages. After rifling around for a bit, she found various ones, and took them out, leaving them on the counter.

This was not good. Not good at all. "Get some rest and we'll figure the rest out later, okay? Don't let him drown because he fell asleep."

"I won't," Sirius replied. He knew it was only a joke, but Lily did have a point. Remus was exhausted, just barely staying awake. He needed to get him into bed. "Thanks. For the bandages."

He ran his fingers through Remus's damp hair. "I don't say this often, but she's right. We need to finish cleaning you off, and get you somewhere where you can sleep for real."

"I think that's a good plan." Softly admitted as blue eyes slid back towards Lily. "Thank you." For getting them the bandages, and for worrying about them. But those tired eyes were shutting again as Sirius pushed his fingers through his hair. Careful, or you'd make him fall asleep again. "Maybe if you ask her nicely, Sirius, she'll bandage you up." Since Remus wasn't in any condition to try and bandage anyone up-- not even himself. Sirius or Lily would have to take over and do that, while he was out like a light. It was easier that way. Remus didn't fuss then.

"Did he just say I was right? Put it on the record. 6:45 am, Saturday the 13th of December, 2008, Sirius Black admitted that I was right."

"You're welcome," Lily smiled. "Really nicely. Okay, I'll let you two be. Get me if you need any bandage help. I'll be in the kitchen." Stress cooking.

After she'd gone, Sirius made quick but careful work of finishing with Remus's wounds. He pulled him close again and kissed his head once he'd finished. "All done," he murmured. He held out an arm and summoned a bathrobe from the back of the door. "Up we go, then."

He helped Moony up slowly, seeing that he was losing the battle against sleep again, and wrapped the robe gingerly around him before grabbing one for himself. "Bedroom time for you." He picked up the bandages and ointment from where Lily had left them. They still had that to deal with, but there was no reason Remus couldn't be on the nice warm bed as they did.

No, there was no reason he couldn't. And he would move down the hall slowly, with Sirius at his side, and once in the bedroom he was settling down into a slumping state on the side of the bed. But he gave up on sitting up a moment later, and laid down, with a slow breath. It wasn't his bed.. but it was nice enough. And it was warm. And he was so tired. So tired.

Poor Sirius. His young friend would be unconscious before he could even wish him a good rest.

It only took a moment to realize that Remus wasn't only relaxing into the comfortable mattress, but that his breathing had evened out, and his eyes were closed. Sirius watched him for a few seconds, enthralled. He was truly back, and real, and though he wasn't the Remus who had disappeared... he was still the Remus who meant everything to Sirius. Everything and more ( ... )
