In Which I Rant

I hate fangirl Japanese. I hate it so much.

Someone quotes at me,
"Sukoshi zutsu watashi tachi ha watashi tachi no yume no tame ni tatakau!"
(Roughly, Little by little we will battle for the sake of our dream! Better rendered as 少しずつ私達は私達の夢の為に戦う.)

Okay, number one. HA is not a particle. WA is a particle. I realize it's spelled HA in hiragana, but hey, it's Japanese. There are many, many words in English that are not pronounced anywhere near how they're spelled. And romanized Japanese is much less confusing to read if you spell it sensibly!

Number two. Do not randomly call yourself a "kunoichi." I don't want to look up what the hell you're babbling about--quit using fangirl Japanese and just say you're a freaking female ninja. You're not cooler for throwing in random Japanese words. You just piss off people who think that since English has a full working vocabulary and counts as its own language, you should use it as such.

Number three. If this is a quote, I'm pretty sure ninja did not use "watashi." They probably used one of the fifty-seven million other words in Japanese that mean "the person who is speaking about him/her/itself and you can infer much more information about this person based on which of these words he/she/it uses."

Just for that, くそくらえ! 死ねえ!
