I began pestering lorinan, the Facebook guy, on the 12th. We talked about boring things like his teaching school at Shandong Uni still, the Chinese and Japanese languages, and then things like anime cons and Star Wars. It was a little weird. He hasn't even been in the state for about seven years, plays Legend of the Five Rings (you should have seen biglazydragon's ( Read more... )

Liam Neeson--> "sexy"? 0.0

I haven't seen Narnia yet, but is a sequel already in production?

I'm gonna have to see it now.

Yes, I find Liam Neeson sexy. Back off. (I'm telling you, people with Irish and Scottish accents are walking sexiness.)

I don't know anything about a sequel. I hope they make sequels, given the wonderful treatment this time around.

Yes, do go see it. Then you and Thought and I can babble about it together (he was surprised I'd gone to see it).

Well, you aren't a big movie person-- I mean, you didn't even see Serenity, and that's only the best movie of the year. ;)

Emperor-beyond-the-Sea
"Is-is he a man? asked Lucy.
"Aslan a man!" said Mr. Beaver sternly. "Certianly not! I tell you he is the King of the wood and the son of the great Emperor-beyond-the-Sea. Don't you know who is the King of Beasts? Aslan is a lion - the Lion, the great Lion."
and also the Emperor-the-Sea is mentioned when Jadis comes to negotioate with Aslan about Edmund.

Edmund isn't mentioned in the Father Christmas scene - perhaps you are thinking of Prince Caspian when the children find the treasure room? Peter (or someone) says that they have to take the gifts - referring of their gifts from Father Christmas and the narrator explains that Edmund has not gifts, but that is his own fault.

I agree with you about the waterfall scene and cutting out Giant Rumblebuffin. He was a funny character. And just seeing him as stone doesn't compensate. I kind of liked the bombing scene - it gave some needed context and next time I am going to pay more attention to how colors characterize the worlds.

Ahh, thank you muchly.

Yes, I must be thinking of the Prince Caspian scene. Ah well.

The bombing was very cool--nice tactics. ;) But I like well-done war things. Peter and Susan seemed even more annoying than they were in the books, but I only ever liked Lucy anyway. ^_~

i took the liopn headdress during the battle a little differently. i assumed that it was some of the fur that they had cut from his mane at the sacrifice. it made her even a little more dispicable.
