You'd think I'd know better.
I mean, really. What bloke in his right mind saves his Valentine's Day shopping for Valentine's Day?
What was I thinking?
I wasn't. That's the problem. I knew it was Valentine's Day, and I knew that I needed a gift for Hannah, but I didn't even really think about a gift until this morning, when I saw the flowers in the greenhouse.
Luckily, I got off work at noon, so I could spend some time searching for the perfect gift. I wanted to get her something with daisies, because they're her favourite flower. I already had two bouquets of them ready at the flat, one for the
dining table and one for the
end table by the sofa.
I looked everywhere, it seems, until finally I found a small jewellers in Muggle London. I was looking for something nice, but not too nice--we weren't even officially going out, after all. Yet.
I almost bought her a
locket. It wasn't quite what I was looking for, but it would've worked. But then, out of the corner of my eye, I found it.
The perfect gift for Hannah. I just hope she likes it.
