Cabaret is dead to me

I've been watching a tape of the band Sons and Daughters programming Rage* that I stuck on to record just before collapsing into the sack last night.

Sons and Daughters played a lot of stuff I'm going to call "cabaret-ish" where the focus narrows in on singer as icon, idealised as a replacement for some set of virtues. They ( Read more... )

Probably Morrissey ;-) sad Smiths fan that I was at age seventeen. Anyone with style, credibility and a big mouth though.

Hey, I did check them out! And they were pretty cool, I just didn't feel I had anything to add, and I do know what a high standard you wish your blog and it's attendant discussion to aspire to :)

Though something I was thinking of mentioning then didn't: Flight (and thus presumably Flight 2), afaict, is an anthology of works by various artsy webcomic types. I know it as "that thing Vera Driscoll is doing rather than finishing Return to Sender goddammit"
