I really have nothing to contribute.

Just wanted to say, hey! I'm here! And I'm still alive! :waves frantically:

Life has just been hectic recently, what with the exams after my thesis and the end of year ball and looking for further degrees/jobs/research opportunities after that. I've applied for 8 unis and have had zero offers so far / o \ But I'm not discouraged (yet), I believe that there will be an open path to tread no matter where I end up. Or maybe I'm just being childishly optimistic, as my father obviously thinks so. :shrugs:

Actually, I have also been quietly cultivating a few ideas about how to occupy my time. Namely:

1) My travel/crafts blog
A little project I've been working on, documenting artsy goings-on in my surrounds. It's nothing impressive but it makes me happy to look back and gather memories. Please do visit and have a look-see, even if you don't feel like commenting.

2) Opening a vintage clothing shop
I have no experience in business modelling or branding. Zero. Zilch. Nada. I have therefore no idea how to proceed after hogging a domain name and making the layout all pretty-like. Maybe I should start taking photos of my products and open a Paypal account, IDK, it all just feels like so much hassle.

3) Playing with my new toy -- the Polaroid SX-70
Ordered this off ebay for an extortionally mind-boggling figure, considering my meager wages. On the upside, it's the prettiest, most amazing piece of retro technology I own and I will probably pass it on to my great-grandchildren as an heirloom.

4) A BBC!Sherlock fic
Inspired by the artwork of Zdzisław Beksiński, deconstructing the concept of insanity. Moriarty-centric.

That is, apart from my 30-hour-per-week part time job (how is that part time IDEK - but hey, I'm getting paid, which is better than having no job whichever way I look at it). Yes, it's not exactly a stroll down the park here, and the stress I've been under has led to my dropping 2 dress sizes and 5 kgs, but I'm still very, very happy to have finished my undergrad degree, and am keeping myself busy with ideas that will hopefully germinate to something.

Catch you all later :)

rant, sherlock bbc, rl shit
