This is a good idea in theory however, any way it goes our gas prices will still stay expensive. Summer time gas is always more expensive, because we people and in this case Americans travel more. The gas prices are increasing (however I have seen them between 2.50 - 3.00) here, it is directly related to the fact of the gulf coast oil industries. My dad works for a gas company not exon or Mobil (Shell) and the fact that they had a couple plants in La and some refineries, off of the coast (some of which were devastated by the hurricanes) that is why prices are so high. In all reality I think the only way any of this will work is through protest not towards the gas companies but toward the automobile companies to start pressuring them into making better electric/oil or hydrogen powered cars. The fact is Oil is being tapped and right now they are working with an ethanol by product to try to make our oil last longer, however it is just decreasing the amount of mileage we can get out of our cars. I know I talk alot of shit about texas however if I have learned one thing from here is about gas and all that other crap.
I wish this good luck and I don't buy my gas from either of these so I guess I am kind of joining in this but then again I am also on a committee at my college for a change in the environment to make it better and one of our main targets is trying to get the car companies to start making better fuel efficient cars.

That is my two cents. bye
