I have some confusion over the room assignments. I understand you don't want to force people to take rooms if they want to share or whatever, but with the system as it is I can already see issues - we would have to check everyone else's numbers to find out if a number was taken, then ask if they were using that room, then have nowhere to really lay claim to that number. On the other hand, if we take a number that's currently not in use, someone could apply in with that number at a later date and want that room (and as much as random evictions/room fights sounds entertaining, it could cause unnecessary strife oocly).

As it is, my impression is that rooms are numbered individually but have beds and storage for two people in them (please correct me if I'm wrong - and if I am then that throws up the idea of people have assigned roommates, which could either be a good way to get CR or another issue). As such, if characters want to share, it should be easy enough for both of them to move into one or the other of the rooms assigned to them, and there's no need for them to take a 'spare room' that could in future be assigned to a potential applicant.

tl;dr without heaping more work on you guys (and I really do think you're doing a fantastic job so far) I think we probably do need that residency page.

Adding in a plus one, since it'd likely be easiest in the long run to have a page to reference and keep who lives where simple and easy to figure out.

After some discussion, we've decided that we'd like to go with your suggestion-having every character adhere to their room number would solve a lot of confusion in the long run, and would eliminate the need for a needlessly comprehensive residency page, as it would be assumed all characters would be living in the rooms with their number on them.

As is stands right now, what we'd like to do is create a residency page for all non-regulation room assignments, as you suggested: only characters who have decided to room with another character would need to reply to the post. (It would of course be up to the two characters/players involved to decide which of the two characters' rooms they would want to inhabit).

Thank you for the suggestion! If there's anything we can do further, please let us know.
