[The audio pops on and, without waiting overly long, a man starts to speak.]

This isn’t. Quite what I expected. Where is this?

… Is anyone actually here?

[He’s not exactly one for beating around the bush. Not when he can help it, anyway.
Also, if this is Peragus all over again, he’s going to scream. He cannot deal with dead silent empty places ( Read more... )

[Oh, not this again.]

I'm here. Of course, that would beg the question of where here is. Who is this?

Oh, good. At least I'm not alone again.

[... He hopes you aren't cryptic. He's so tired of waking up to cryptic.]

My name is Tobias Donn. Who are you?

Zouichi. Kanoe Zouichi.

I was aboard a ship called the Transmigration 9 before I arrived here. Sound familiar?

It's nice to meet you, Zouichi.

I'm sorry, no. I'm not familiar with that particular ship. [It doesn't sound like one from the Republic, the Mandalorians, or the Sith. Hrm.] Do you know anything about a ship called Ebon Hawk? Or maybe Harbinger?

Two people in as many minutes. I'm on a roll today.

[If there aren't hostile robots, he'll have hit the jackpot.]

Jedi Weaponsmaster Tobias Donn. And you?

[ Ellen has fiddled around with this, trying to shake off the muddled disorientation she'd felt since waking up. Worst cryosleep, or worst cryosleep? She'd felt more coherent after waking up from fifty-seven years of the stuff. ]

This is Ellen Ripley, and I read you. As for where we are... I was hoping someone would have an answer for that.

[ Waking up to an unmanned flight isn't so odd as never remembering getting there, or not finding any flight officers around when you wake up. ]

Along with one for how the hell we ended up on whatever we're on.

Ellen Ripley. I'm Tobias Donn. Sorry we didn't meet under better circumstances. This certainly wasn't the ship I was on before I woke up.

[He's not entirely sure he'd still been on the ship, actually. It's not the first time he's woken up in a haze, though. The Exile will have to sit and think on this later.]

But in my experience, the easiest way to find answers is to go looking for them.

Certainly isn't the space station I was on, either.

[ So... not from Gateway. Well then. ]

It's the easiest way to get yourself killed, too. At least if you're wandering off alone, without a plan.

[ Recent experience kind of has her firmly against this idea. One doesn't know what might be out there. Especially if one's been apparently abducted onto a ship without a welcoming crew around to explain what's happened. ]

But it worked so well the last time...

[Just the slightest humor in his voice. It's probably not the best idea, no. And last time he'd had the Force on his side, but he can't feel it now. Not even a faint whisper of it.]

It would be best if everyone regrouped to one section of the ship and discussed our current predicament.

[ well, for starters, he isn't quite sure what to make of this yet. waking up had not been the most pleasurable experience. he decides to err on the side of caution. ]

It would appear that there are quite a few roaming the vacant spaces. Am I to assume that you received the same welcome as I?

If other people have been waking up in a liquid-filled tank, feeling like they had too much Juma Juice, I'd say so. I'm glad for the company. The circumstances less so.

Circumstances aside, for who would desire to leave their home behind unwillingly, while the company may be welcomed, it implies something less desired. What purpose does it serve, to bring a handful or so to this place, wherever it is?

I couldn't say, really. But there's surely a reason behind it. A reason that it would be best to reveal, so that we can correct things and return to where we came from.

We are presently aboard a starship. Though it's designation and affiliation remain yet to be determined.

To whom am I speaking?

I hoped it was a ship. Never can tell when it's secretly a mining colony, though.

Tobias Donn. Who are you?

Commander Spock, first officer of the starship Enterprise.
You sound relatively unperturbed, given the circumstances, Mister Donn.

A pleasure, Commander. Enterprise. A Republic vessel?
This isn't quite my first time being in circumstances similar to this, I'm afraid.
