[There's also the fact that she didn't even know how long she could go before needing a nap, too. Dean's already pretty certain that letting her be a part of this is more likely to cause him a heart attack than anything else. He was roped into hunting way too early and he isn't planning on doing the same to any other kid.]

Yes, actually. An eleven year old isn't capable of defending herself, nor is she capable of speaking in a vernacular normally reserved for those not only older, but with intelligence exceeding that of a normal person.

[ Chase's posture changes--she's gone from an annoyed little girl to an annoyed something else, back straightening, head tilting far more regal, glare very, very evident in blue eyes. Her face is pulled taught and if one were to look very, very closely, her eyes would flicker an odd lavender shade for a split second. ]

The only Angels are the winged beings known as the Prise. I think it's become quite clear that we are from different worlds, and as such, I believe if it wasn't for being ordered to help those in need I'd walk away this instant.

[It's not like the whole ramrod straight back, head tilt and expression are really doing much of persuading Dean that Chase isn't one of the angels he's come to know far better than he wants. He has a short but complicated history with them and if he can help it he'd like to avoid a repeat. But the kid is actually acting offended that he's comparing her to the rest of the feathery assholes he's talking about, and that changes his mind again.

When he speaks again he sounds almost sheepish.]
