[What's that? Hmm, it's that gangly fellow from earlier. Alan cocks his head to one side to get a better look. After a moment, he waddles closer to the screen.

It seems he's standing on a cloth of some sort -- no, it's the corner of a sheet, one that looks rather like the kind of drab blanket that would cover a bed in the Passengers' Quarters.]

Has Zouichi run off somewhere, or are you only being a bad bird?

[Alan grips the edge of the blanket with his feet, rolling over so he's covered by the blanket. It is ridiculously adorable.]

Bad bird?

[Oh, now he's sulking. There's a voice from off-screen.]

Who's a bad bird?

[Now that was definitely Zouichi's voice.]

[Directed at the off-screen voice:] Alan's worked out how to use your comm device. Or did the Tranquility gift him with one of his own?

[zouichi]

[Zouichi picks up the comm device.]

Really? I knew he was smart, but I didn't think he could manage that. Perhaps I should try and train him to send a distress call if I should fall victim to foul play.

[Zouichi was joking, right? Probably?]

It's just mine, I'm afraid. A parrot-sized device would have to be much smaller and lighter.
