Is anyone else completely alone here? Home-wise. No one from my world seems to be here.

Why am I here and they aren't?

I wasn't born yet - few more years though and I am. I'm not sure I can say I know anyone from then per se.

What were you doing before you got here?

[ Note a considerably long pause in her reply. Lily could lie - though it's not in her nature - or leave out a few facts. But if she does the latter, she might as well tell a lie. ]

I was with my husband and son. I was taking Harry to bed when we had an unexpected visitor.

[ So, she mixed the details up a bit. The visitor came, killed James, she chose to run to Harry's room, placed him in his cot, and died. It sounds much better than "I fought the war and the war won." Especially to someone so young. ]

[ there isn't much ariadne can honestly say to that after all. she feels bad for the woman. but she isn't sure how to fix the situation for her. being away from family has to be hard. ]
