So, in light of
our water problems that Plonq posted about, I am hoping two things:
1) I am hoping that the city does not decide to dig up our front yard today, Christmas Eve, possibly shutting off our water for Christmas.
2) Corollary to #1, I hope that whatever they did to make the leak worse doesn't mean that everything goes kablooie, resulting in us having no water for Christmas.
3) I really, REALLY hope that the leak is on the city's side of the shut-off valve. We just spend a gazillion dollars replacing our roof this summer, and did not budget for founts of water gushing up from our front yard. :(
If I see the neighbours today, I'm going to apologize for the pool of water that is now collecting in front of their house. :/ Thanks, Winnipeg Public Works, for making the problem worse!
But, if the worst does come to pass, I have a Plan. It involves buying bottled water. :P In the meantime, we've both showered (so we're good for a day or two if we don't do anything sweaty), and the water pitcher in the fridge is full.
