Barbaro didn't make it after all. :(
I'm ethically torn. On the one hand, racing thoroughbreds, for the most part, are extraordinarilly well cared for (because if they weren't, they wouldn't perform well.) They love to race.
On the other hand, I wonder how long the sport of football would stay legal if the star linebacker would get a bullet in the brain after sustaining a compound leg fracture.
It's not a fair comparison, I know... But I still wonder.
