At an average human eye blinks up to 28000-30000 times a day.
That is roughly 20 times a minute.
The main purpose of eye blink is to spread the lubrication throughout the eye periodically and also that way, foreign particles like dust and other stuff are moved to the corner of the eye which we wipe it off, especially in the mornings.
