From the Realm of Physics and Beyond

I recently bought a new 7200 rpm, 300GB hard drive and an external enclosure. Seeing how I previously bought a 160GB hard drive and the same enclosure, I foolishly thought it'd be a great idea to put the two external hard drives next to each other (well, I _am_ grouping things now... plus it's only logical).

Now I have to endure this horribly loud beat between the two hard drives. My physically brainwashed mind tells me that judging from the beat frequency (I actually counted a period of 5 seconds, which must mean a frequency of 0.2 Hz), the two hard drives are spinning at a speed that differs at approximately 0.2 rpm - with the assumption that each spin of the platter creates exactly one pressure change in the air equal in magnitude and uniform in frequency with subsequent spins.

Anyways. I can no longer stand the annoying car commercials. (Or negative political ads - Stéphane Dion is NOT a leader!) First there is the Ford commercials with Gretzky - which was around for a long, long time. TV was tolerable when there was only one annoying commercial, but recently I've noticed more and more Toyota Tundra truck commercials with that ridiculous guy in that stupid cowboy hat, with his "Words of the Truck" or whatever. He says some of the most outrageously idiotic "advice" or whatever you want to call it (life lessons?). There isn't a single nanosecond when he's on screen that I don't want to pluck his eyes out and shove them down his throats.

ARRRGGGG!!!!!!!

PS. I did a spell check on Live Journal. They only red-lined my "ARRRGGGG". But guess what their suggestion as a correct spelling was? "CRACKERJACK". I don't even know what it is!
