Confrontation and conciliation

What a day, was yesterday. To start with, a girl that I had dated and.. gotten serious about filed something called a Peace Bond on me and I had to show up that morning for it. This is a woman who after some rather life changing decisions had decided to never speak to me again, which was really harsh to go from best friend/ love to.... nothing. So I talked to her friends and they said writing letters couldn't really hurt anything, and a birthday gift wouldn't be too strange either. So I went through months of bleak blackness, and eventually meandered out of it. She never answered any of my letters, ruined my night a few times by calling and demanding that I never speak to her again (you called me!?). She called my friend and described alot of crazy things she imagined I was doing, to which our mutual friend said "James would never do anything like that." Eventually it all blew over til a month or so when one of her friends stopped me in a home depot and asked if he could have the hand made things that I had crafted as her birthday gift a year ago as she had never looked at them and he had taken them home but his wife had told him he couldn't have them because they were made for hmm shall we call her.. Elaine? lol. Anyway, so he asked me for them and I said no- please take them and give them to Elaine, and then wrote a short nasty letter basically venting. This prompted her to have a little argument with her, but we made up, she thanked me for the gift, and I said I wanted nothing else to do with her. Fine. 2 weeks or so later, I was bored, and I texted about 6 people to see if anyone wanted to play pool, on a whim, I included her in the send out. This prompted her to give me an angry phone call, about a week later...? To which I agreed, yes, we are done, I can't have anything to do with someone that hates me, I had just wanted to go chill, hang out, and talk, like- I don't know, 2 normal rational mature people? That's what usually happens with exes. They hate me for 3-6 months and then call me or I them and we go play pool or get coffee, and then I never see them again. 6 months later they are married.
Anyway, so I showed up at the court, scared out of my wits, and when she walked in and sat down to wait I started angrily asking her why I was here. A few minutes after that we started talking again, and then had like an hour long talk while waiting. At first, I was looking at her like, how could this woman get me so wrong, who is this woman? By the end, I was making her smile and she was making me smile, suddenly I remembered all the qualities that had attracted me in the first place. All charges were dropped. That is what I had wanted to accomplish with coffee, lol.
