Let me say first that I'm really upset about Yamamoto and I almost cried when they said he probably wouldn't be able to walk anymore. That's really distressing when you take into account that he almost committed suicide when he broke his arm. Gah.
I'm going to assume that the chapter has been read and we all know Shimon has revealed their true intent. Blah blah, they're going to destroy the Vongola, blah blah, Tsuna feels betrayed, blah. Pretty much the story is predictably going in the direction that we all knew it was going since Reborn began to wonder about the true strength of the Shimon family. Many things are sure to be revealed in chapter 297, though I feel it will mostly be about the history of the Sin and how it ties in with the Shimon family. What I'm dying to know is about that fighter who has an unidentified flame. I swear if the property is called snow, I'm going to laugh. How many times have I seen that in fanfiction? I thought it was Adelheid for a while (because she seems pretty kickass) but I wouldn't be happy if that was true. Obviously each of the Shimon family have their counterparts in the Vongola family, and you would think that their flame properties would correspond as well. Ah well, who knows. Guess we'll have to find out.
Now one thing I noticed is that Amano is moving pretty fast with this arc. Its pace is similar to that of the Kokuyo Arc, unless of course she decides to put in a little twist.
So a battle, of course, is going to commence. If the Vongola loses, it's going to get pretty complex from there. Yamamoto is still in the hospital, and they don't exactly have anywhere they can hide while recuperating. Shimon is, or course, wickedly powerful (which I kind of find to be ridiculous. Can you really find more powerful people in the past than in the future? And really! How did everyone learn how to use their flames so quickly! Practically no one used flames before!). That and there's bound to be one moment that Tsuna hesitates to attack because he's friends with Enma.
On the other hand, Shimon could lose and then... that's kind of a sad and pitiful ending. I would like to think that the Shimon family is the final boss in the arc, but I suppose there is a hidden mastermind behind them.
If Amano decides to make this a generally fast arc, I'll be a little relieved. The future arc was... very long.
One thing in general that bothers me is when is Tsuna going to get Mukuro out of Vendicare. I doubt he's going to wait ten years to get the man out.
My mind is now starting to wander, so I'll wrap this up. Reborn 297 is going to be good, but I'm a little worried. Let's hope for another awesome chapter!
