Summary: Written for Month 10 of dmhgchallenge. It didn't win anything, but I guess that's what I get for writing granny!Dramione. Haha! I can't help it, it's just what came to mind when I saw the prompt, ya know? Well anyway, I thought it was a cute idea at the time. *shrugs*. The prompt was "luck".
The sunset is magnificent, but despite the view, he can’t stop looking at the curly-haired woman rocking in the chair next to his. Her curls are streaked with grey, and there are crow’s feet at the corners of her eyes; but when she smiles back at him, they are the same brown eyes he fell in love with fifty years and thousands of sunsets ago.
“I’m so lucky to have you,” Draco murmurs, as he reaches over to take her hand in his.
Hermione laughs blithely, squeezes his hand, and says, “You know luck has nothing to do with it.”
