Did I mention that I saw my first frozen waterfall this winter? Because I did. It was very amazing. If you ever get the chance to see a frozen waterfall, you should. I hope to make it to Niagara falls one of these winters. Its pretty much a highway drive, so the weather shouldn't be too problematic/stressful.
This weekend we went for a hike and saw lots of fossils, and a small half-frozen waterfall, which was neat.
Spring break is now over. Not much excitement to report for it...we didn't do much of anything, except stay up too late and sleep too late. I'm not ready to go back to school, or spend more time out of the house. I am ready for our upstairs neighbor to stop his fucking marching band practicing at all hours of the night. It makes me boil with rage. But then I remember that I'm at home relaxing, and simmer down. What I did do: Bake some stuff, work on stamp/print making, learn about using GIMP, get advice about not being such a jerk, grade some stuff, dream that I was late to teach but stopped for a drink (!!) anyway, sewed an eyemask, got angry about not getting enough sleep, clean the kitchen a million times, roll some lumpia, spend too much at the asian market, rearrange the freezer only to have to redo it a week later, pic out some new recipes to try, confirm our roommate for next year, rearrange our bedroom (IN MY HEAD), miss my friends, open the windows, feed the birds, and yell at the nasty ol' blue jay (who sure is pretty).
I made whole-wheatish, yogurt, apple, craisen, oatmeal muffins tonight, for breakfasts this week.
Tomorrow is the first of my dreaded presentations. On the advice of Ira Glass, I've decided to just enjoy the feeling of utterly failing. (Not really...but my presentation is about half the length it's supposed to be, and I've decided not to care, because I cannot for the life of me figure out what else to say.)
