After Carson had found a safe spot for Ewan and Fiona-- a table near his bed in the room that he shared with Ford --he had met Catherine at the projector. She seemed...not completely withdrawn, but Carson hadn't seen her like this since the first night they'd met.
He helped her load the projector and sat down next to her as the film started, and by the end, was holding Catherine as much for her benefit as for his own. He'd never really been one for horror films, so it was more than a bit of a shock to see his girlfriend in one.
