Awesome Indie Rock News!!!!
Before I delve into some awesome shit, let me just say that Lou Barlow and his wife Kath just had their first baby girl on January 27. Congrats!!! Anywho, Lou also just recently hung out with former Sebadoh member Eric Gaffney and they talked about re-issuing all of the old Sebadoh records!!! As some of you know, Eric and Lou haven't talked to each other since Eric left the band in '94 so this is crazy news indeed. And Lou also hung out with former Dinosaur Jr. founder J. Mascis and talked about a possible Dinosaur reunion with the original fucking members!!! Oh my god!!!! I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this news!!! Unbelievable shit.
In other music news, The Uprising, my band of course, has songs on the radio in Wales. This is bizarre for two reasons. One, we're not even signed to a label (yet I hope). And two, we don't even have our CD duplicated!!! But I guess Colin contacted someone in Wales through Pure Volume and sent him the music and it's somehow on the radio. IN FUCKING WALES!?!?! We're probably lucky if it's played once a day even. It's still very bizarre and somewhat cool though.
Now, to bore you even more, I've compiled a "FUCK THE GRAMMYS" list of albums that for some reason didn't get nominated for any of the categories but I think kick more ass than anything that was even on the Grammys.
