All streams of consciousness lead to Joss Whedon

I've watched Bones a couple of times. I should watch it more, because David Boreanaz really is a brilliant comedic actor. For those who don't know, it's a forensics-type show, and he plays an FBI agent named Booth (I think). So I found it a bit surprising last night when I turned on the tv to watch House (which was particularly amazing last night, by the way) and saw [spoiler, I guess] Booth get shot in a karaoke bar. But hey, it's sweeps, so I guess it shouldn't be that surprising. I was actually confused for a second, as my first thought was, "That can't kill him- he's a vampire!" And then, "Oh yeah, he's human on this show." Don't know if he's dead, but since he's the costar and this isn't a Joss show, I'd say he's pretty safe.

Speaking of which, I was delighted to find out that Joss is working on a new show (Dollhouse). It won't air till next year, but it's got Eliza Dushku, Amy Acker, and Tahmoh Penikett (Helo on Battlestar), so it can't not be good. Which is a bad sign. Given the trend of Joss's shows, I give this about 5 or 6 episodes before Fox pulls the plug. Again. Bastards.
