So yesterday, a colleague who has her own market research business called me, and asked me if I would like to do a project for this Japanese client. BUT, the client would like the group discussions to be conducted on Sunday AND they would like to brief the moderator (which is me, if I take the job) on Saturday night! Oh, HELL NO!! Sometimes I wonder about these clients, especially Japanese, do they even have a life?! Weekends are important to some people, you know?
So I told her, I could do the job on Sunday (with extra charge) but there was no way I was coming to their office on Saturday night. If they would like to brief me via phone, it was okay. She understands though 'cause she actually has the same way of thinking with me. Meaning, no work on weekends. Don't know if I end up getting the project or not though ...
