Quick, LJ is up, I'd better post something
At one point, I thought I would never be able to watch this on big screen. But today, 14 days after the world premiere, Indonesian movie goers are able to watch Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows, Part 2 on cinemas. I actually watched the first show, on the first day, along with
tomatoe18 who kindly bought the tickets for me in advance. Although it's probably a bit late into the whole excitement, I still think I'd better put my opinion under cut
LIKES:
- The part where the professors say those spell to protect Hogwarts? BEST SCENE. HANDS DOWN! That should enter Top 5 of Harry Potter Greatest Moments. It's wonderfully intense scene
- Second best scene? Where Neville blown the bridge! On that particular note, Neville Longbottom, you're officially MY hero. Really! I ♥ you
- The senior actors still showing their flawless acting chops. Ralph Fiennes. Alan Rickman. Helena Bonham-Carter. I bow down to you. Ralph Fiennes and Alan Rickman sharing a scene should make some people having orgasm on studio *lol*
- I didn't really cry, but I had my eyes teary where the war casualties were shown
DISLIKES:
- Ron/Hermione kiss is an upset :(. Considering that scene is a punch in the book, I curse you, Kloves and Yates!
- The 19 years later scene is weird
It's a good ending for a decade of magic. Not necessarily my favorite movie of the whole franchise (that title still goes to Prisoners of Azkaban) but it's one of the top favorites.
So what should be next epic entertainment, since now, Lords of the Rings and Harry Potter are no more?
tomatoe18 suggested The Hobbit.
Since she is the movie expert on my flist, I will just take her words for it :)
