139. Castle, Glee, The Good Wife ...

I missed writing an entry in LJ and it had only been two days!! I'm such an LJ whore. I was pushing myself to write a report that a client asked, so I didn't have topic to write down. BUT, I finished it this noon and I could write things again. Yay!! Let's start with TV shows, shall we?

+ HOLY STANA KATIC IN SWIMSUIT!! I think my brain got fried during that scene and I got my jaw dropped. It wasn't a pretty sight *lol*

+ Unfortunately, I DID NOT like the story. Taking Castle and Beckett out of New York feels weird, like taking them out of their element. Something just "missing". I miss their working together with Ryan and Esposito. Working through cellular phones is different. While I appreciate the "idea" of the story, and the letter that Royce left Beckett, which I hope will do something about her decision towards Castle ... but the sense of the episode feels wrong. It's like when the girls from Sex and the City went to L.A. as well. So wrong :(

+ The eye!sex is pretty, though :). It's just wrong time for them (Beckett is still with Josh, right), just like the "doors thing analogy". But they will get it right. They will get it in sync.

I want to do a little rant. I'm SO, SO disappointed with this episode. And to know that this is written by Ryan Murphy himself?!? I am so ANNOYED on how this show treats the story that is NOT Kurt. Look, I love Kurt and his story. I think it has such a positive message to gay teens out there. But BECAUSE of that, I feel like other stories are not treated the same way. Sometimes, I feel like all those plots are only half-cooked ... that Ryan Murphy et all, just put it on the episode for the sake of it, without actually THINKING about it. It pisses me off!!!

For example ...

The Story
1) Rachel / Finn / Quinn
I want to wring the necks of these characters (and it's Ryan Murphy's fault!!). I think they should just go their own way, EACH and every one of them. Because Rachel came as DESPERATE again and that just SICK! I thought she was finding her way when she sang that song in the Regional. But nooooo, apparently, Ryan Murphy et all, thinks that it's still a good idea of throwing the three of them in the MOST ANNOYING love triangle ever!! Seriously, even Puck has moved on ... and he was once part of the equation.

2) Santana / Brittany / Artie
I was actually having small hope during previous episode, when Brittany practically told Santana that she loved her, but Santana needed to love herself more. I liked that idea -- I liked the idea that Brittany stayed with Artie, because that actually made her than just a "dumb blond". They were pretty sweet, to be honest. Heck, even my sister, who watched this show in glimpses, told me that she thought Brittany had integrity, by doing so. But of course, the writers decided that, no, let's not do that. Let's not give a good development of characters to them and threw away this instead ... broke Brittany and Artie apart because of a rumor and let Santana got back to her closet. Really?! I want to see Santana loves who she is, to actually accept who she truly is, consequences be damned. But I guess character development is not in their agenda. Not if the character is not Kurt *roll eyes*

3) Sue
She needs a new hobby, because all of this is getting VERY OLD! Trust me!

4) Sam
See, THIS one actually has "hope". Because dealing with losing houses in the U.S. economy feels real, right? It actually gives Sam something to told. Unfortunately, this again, only comes as an after-thought. We probably back to see Sam as decoration next week *blah*

As for the songs ... they are so, SO BORING. I know I have never really heard Fleetwood Mac songs by themselves. BUT, I have Fleetwood Mac's songs covered by other artists and I LOVE THEM. Example, The Corrs with "Dreams", David Cook and Carrie Underwood with "Go Your Own Way", Eva Cassidy with "Songbird" (if you haven't heard this version, check the soundtrack for Love Actually!!). But these covers are bland :(

The following show is actually THE ONLY show that I watch with my Dad. No, not "together" with him. Meaning that we both follow the shows. My Dad kept asking me about a new episode. I guess we both wondered what Alicia would do after the "big secret" was revealed ...

I'm a bit disappointed that Alicia didn't talk to Kalinda in this episode, and only dealt with Peter. Did I support her decision to kick Peter's ass to the curve? Heck yeah, I actually wanted to see that since season 1 *lol*. I'd say forget the "good wife", let's be the "wild woman" instead and follow her dream of kissing Will like craaazy!!! *grin*

Anyway, the confontation of Alicia and Kalinda is the one I look forward the most. To be honest, as much as I love Kalinda, I don't agree with Peter that Kalinda is blameless ...

1) Kalinda knew that Peter was married when they slept together.

2) Kalinda knew who Alicia was before she friended her.

When Alicia said to Peter that "You slept with my best friend!", Peter was right, "She wasn't your best friend then". BUT, Peter then KNEW that Alicia and Kalinda worked together at Lockhart/Gardner ... The two of them were to blame, but really, Kalinda was more in the wrong here, wasn't she?

By the way, I'm so amused with Patti Nyholm *grin*. She needs to be in more episodes

Alicia and Eli as new best friends (instead of Alicia and Kalinda?), I'd say BRING IT ON!

Oh, and I actually like the fact that Cary stayed with Peter ... I would love to see the showdown in the court from different sides of the table. Making Cary moves back to Lockhart/Gardner is not going to improve on Cary's character.

By the way, hopefully I will get some money coming this week. I need a hair trimming. AND, I want to give some for my Mom. She told me that the cash emergency of the family wasn't like it used to when she was still working. There IS cash emergency (my Dad still works so he can still give money) but not as much as before. I need to give some contribution to the family, since I still live with them at the moment after I resigned last year.

tv show: the good wife, tv show: glee, tv show: castle, money
