124. Glee: an episode with Gwyneth does it again for me ...

Let me list down the reasons why this episode works better for me than previous ones

1. NO SPOTLIGHT ON BLAINE AND HIS BAND OF WARBLERS!!!!!
(that reason alone will enough to be #1, #2, and #3 of this list). I'm sorry for any Darren Criss lovers or supporters of Kurt/Blaine, but this show is about McKinley's "New Directions", not The Warblers. Even Vocal Adrenaline in season 1 does not get this much attention. I know that this episode puts Kurt on the background, but he already gets enough storyline this season. It's time to get back to the "neglected" other members of the show.

2. Santana kicks the butt out of Karofski = WIN!

3. Sue is actually funny again with her idea of "League of Doom". I enjoy that meeting. And who would think that I actually appreciate Terry making a comeback, rather than watching Blaine again on my screen??

4. Chayenne trying to seduce Gwyneth? Like that :)

5. Mercedes and Mike get their spotlight = FTW!

6. Brittany actually is a smarty pants in diseases category! I guess being hypochondriac pays!

7. There is an ACTUAL scene of Will and Emma. I thought that one would never happen

So, I guess Gwyneth Paltrow did it for me this season. All episodes with her in it won my heart; including the last one when in that episode Santana finally admitted her feeling to Brittany (I love that scene so much!!).

If I have one complaint, it will be Tina's own solo is being cut after only few seconds. That makes me angry. I don't mind Holly gets her spotlight, I actually LOVE that song and Gwyneth has a nice voice (haters to the left, please!). But Charice?!? Why did SHE get the full song when "All By Myself" is probably one of the most overused songs of all time?!?

However, all in all, I like this episode better. In fact, I can replay this episode again just to see the performances by Mike, Holly, and Mercedes. Or to watch Santana kicking Karofski's butt OR to see Rachel convincing Mercedes that she is also a star. Those, people, worth thousand times better than seeing The Warblers with their boring jacket!

Unfortunately, my joy will only be short-lived. I think next week, Blaine and his band of brothers will be taking over again. They already "force" New Directions to share the song of "Somewhere Only We Know" *head desk*
