041. I'm so sick (I mean, REAL sick) and GRAMMY'S ...

Feb 14, 2011 17:03

Yesterday, I'm running on fever, it's crazy. I was so weak and almost couldn't get up the bed. Today, the fever is slightly gone but I still have cold and cough. Hopefully, with a little more rest, I will be better by tomorrow. I have project to run from Wednesday - Saturday, so I will need my health. I am SO SICK I cannot even pick up my Kindle and read!

Anybody watch Grammy's??

I cannot believe that Arcade Fire wins Album of the Year, when Eminem and Lady Gaga are both the nominees!!! Aside from that, some of the performances are really rockin' the house. My favorites are: Bob Dylan, Mumford & Sons, and Avett Brothers (holly hell, what a performance, Mr. Dylan!!! You're 70 years old but you EAT those young musicians!!!), then Cee-Lo, Gwyneth Paltrow, and the Muppets (Cee-Lo looks like Big Bird *lol* but Gwyneth adds nuance to that song, and I just can't wait to see Ms. Chris Martin to go back to Glee), and Rihanna, Eminem, Skylar Grey, Adam Levine (on piano) and Dr. Dre (what a collaboration!! Skylar Grey should produce her own album in her name, because I only have hers as Holly Brooks). I also like Lady Gaga and her performance of the newest single "Born This Way", but somehow I feel that it lacks the "power" like those previous three performances. Oh, Bruno Mars, B.o.B, and Janelle Monáe's performance is also rockin' but the beginning is a bit ordinary, until Janelle starts her song ...

From other side of the Atlantic, The King's Speech makes a clean sweep over at BAFTA. Except for Best Director (Fincher grabs that one). Wonder how this will translate into the Oscars. Aside from the sure thing (Colin Firth, he MUST win Best Actor, come on!), Best Picture winner will be appealing to watch. Oh, Best Director too because while Fincher wins at Globes and BAFTA but Hooper takes home the statue at DGA.

sick, movie, grammy
