I am so in love with how Castle made a sort of tribute to The X-Files on this week's episode. From the memorable tune (hummed by Castle), to the white bright light, to lines like "I'm not asking you to dye your hair red and call me Mulder...", it just warmed my heart. Even after its last season finale in 2001, the show is still good for reference for other TV shows when talking about aliens and government conspiracy. I remember Bones also had similar "tribute" episode last season. That show holds a special place in my heart. Not only Mulder/Scully is still my #1 TV pairings, but I was introduced to the joy of Internet, fan friendship, artwork, icons, and even (yes, I did this) making poems and a couple of fanfics because of the show. Aargh, those good ol' days.
I've been thinking, you know how Mark Snow's tune for The X-Files is simply one of the most memorable TV theme tunes, right? You just know it by heart. You KNOW from which show the tune is. So I have a question ...
Do you guys have other TV theme tunes that you think as "classic" and "memorable"?
And I mean, TUNES, not songs. So shows like Friends or True Blood don't count because they use songs. Or Cheers because it uses songs/lyrics in addition to the music. Or House M.D., which uses "tune" but from a song. As for me, on top of my head, it will be: The X-Files, Mission Impossible, Hawaii Five-O, The Twilight Zone, and Sex and The City. You can add more, please ...
Glee is in 8 hours (for me). Can't wait!
