I finished Rob Thurman's Cal Leandros series book #4 early this morning. Oh, my God, that book just breaks my heart in more ways than one. I don't think I have been this melancholia about brotherly love/relationship in a book -- not even when I found out the truth about Harry Dresden in book #6. For any of the Winchester fans, you need to read ( Read more... )

I've only watched four movies this year!!! But, like you, I don't care. I'm more into books right now. I have a couple new releases next week, so I'm going to try and finish up what I'm reading now this weekend. :)

And you should nag me to read the Dresden Files! The first three have been sitting on my shelf for nearly a year now. Maybe after I finish my new books.

I won't nag people to start to read. Since everybody's taste is different and you seem to enjoy YA more anyway :)

I've been in a YA phase for a while, but I badly need a break from it! :)

Sometimes, I think, when a phase helps you to keep reading, you better stick with it for awhile *grin*. Though of course, having alternative is good also, that way you will not get burned with the genre too soon. That's why, I try to have at least two different type of books when I read. If one is a contemporary romance, I try to have mystery/urban fantasy for the other

Oh, believe me, I NEED A BREAK. That's what I meant. I am way, way burned out on YA. I caught myself complaining over and over about some of the same things in the genre, so, yeah, I need to just step away for a while.

But, really, looking at my list, I read about half YA/half everything else. So I tend to have a pretty good mix going on. Like, the series I've been reading lately is historical romance, I read a mystery series earlier in the year and a paranormal series. Along with some stand alone things. So, IDK. I know everyone thinks I read mostly YA, but I don't think of myself that way, haha.

And I've actually been reading slower than usual this year, so I think it's time for something new. ;)
