386. Tsunami; Volcanic Eruption; Earthquake; Floods ...
Those natural disasters happen in my country within the same week; within the past two days, in fact. The tsunami kills at least 154 people by this moment while hundreds are still missing. While the volcano eruption death toll hits 25 at this moment.
As a country that lies between The Ring of Fire, Indonesia has potentials for the biggest volcano eruption in the world. In 1883, Krakatau (=Krakatoa), a volcanic island between the island of Java and Sumatera, exploded and killed approximately 40.000 people.
My family and friends are currently safe. We live in a different island -- though we also suffer from heavy rain which created horrible traffic jam and floods in several areas of the city (my Dad went through almost 5 hours being trapped in traffic jam on Monday). But please, please, pray for the victims and their relatives -- and for my country to survive these disasters. Or if you don't pray because that's not the thing you do, thank you for reminding me of that, dear H) ... then, keep a positive mind or send good vibes/thoughts towards the survivors or the relatives of the victims, as well as the rescue team.
