I finished Carolyn Gray's A Red-Tainted Silence [
Goodreads] last night. I'm telling you all that right now that this book makes an emotional wreck out of me. I can't stop this lump in my throat, the ache in my heart. The love story is EPIC (Logan and Veronica's EPIC). It is definitely the best tear-jerker gay fiction I read so far. I am so in love with the characters, deeply attached to what Brandon and Nicholas have been through, in course of 10 years of their relationship. When I finished, it felt like triumph for both of them. I know that they will be all right, stronger than before. But OH GOD, I can't stop feeling mellow *sniff*
I think I will need a different book for my next read: something cheesy, silly, happy one. But my brain reels to Michael Nava's "Howtown" and I don't think it's a shiny happy book -- considering the situation from Book #2. *sniff*. Oh, well, maybe I try to rearrange my book shelves first, listen to some Glee songs before start reading again.
